iPhone 6s Camera Leak: 12MP Sensor Video Recording 4k

With the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus being readily available for eight months, it’s time to move onto the next-generation iPhone and discuss what we could actually see when Apple eventually lifts the covers off the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus. It has already been suggested that neither device will ship with the cutting-edge dual lens camera technology that had previously been speculated, but a new document that has been leaked online suggests that the next-generation iPhone double act will ship with significantly improved camera capabilities.
According to the aforementioned leaked document, which has since been removed from its original location, quotes an alleged Foxconn employee and suggests that Apple’s next-generation iPhone duo will come equipped with a 12-megapixel camera capable of recording video in 4K.

In addition to serving up awesome 4K video recording, it’s also being suggested via the same source that the device(s) will have the same iPhone 6-esque 240 frames-per-second slo-mo capabilities to compliment the experience already offered to those who love capturing stills and videos directly on the iPhone, but we really wish Apple takes that number up to 480fps for slo-mo recording.
As well as the camera improvements, the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus are also set to receive a much needed boost in RAM, jumping up to 2GB. The document lists the internal model number of the iPhone 6s as N66 and the 6s Plus as N71, and suggests that both will ship with front-facing 5-megapixel cameras for those super impressive selfies. It was previously discovered inside code of iOS 9 that the next Apple smartphone could even have a front-facing flash.

Apple Debuts New 15 Inch Macbook Pro Retina and iMac

Apple has announced two brand new additions to its Mac lineup. The company has updated both the 15-inch MacBook Pro With Retina Display and the 27-inch iMac with new specs.
15 inch Macbook Pro Retina – 2015 Edition:
The updated version of the 15-inch MacBook Pro now comes with a Force Touch trackpad, two-times-faster flash storage, and an additional hour of battery life that brings the total up to 9 hours. Visually, there’s not much to differentiate between the new 15-inch MacBook Pro and their 2012/2013 siblings outside of the Force Touch trackpad, which was originally introduced by Apple for its new 12 and 13-inch MacBooks earlier this year.

15 inch Macbook Pro Retina now has Force Touch trackpad, faster storage and better battery life

The technology provides opportunities for unique input via a secondary, deeper click, as well as Apple’s trademark “taptic” feedback, which makes it feel like the trackpad is physically clicking even though it isn’t actually doing so. It could prove to be a game-changer for Apple, especially once developers start creating apps that natively support the functionality.

At the heart of the new MacBook Pro beats a Haswell-based quad-core Intel Core i7 processor. The discrete graphics option on the high-end $2,499 version has also been upgraded from an Nvidia GeForce GT 750M to an AMD Radeon R9 M370X with 2GB of DDR5 RAM. On the other hand, the entry-level $1,999 version still lacks a discrete graphics option and comes with Intel’s Iris integrated graphics.

Specifications :

27 inch iMac – 2015 Edition:

Meanwhile, the 27-inch iMac desktop comes with a Retina 5K screen that is capable of displaying 14.7 million pixels. This entry-level version of the 5K iMac will cost $1,999, and it comes with a 3.3 GHz quad-core Intel Core i5 processor, 8GB of memory, alongside 1TB of storage that replaces Apple’s Fusion drive on the previous model. It also includes support for four USB 3.0 ports and two Thunderbolt 2 ports. Meanwhile, Apple’s top-end 27-inch desktop has also dropped in price from $2,499 to $2,299.
Apple’s online store has already been updated to reflect its latest offerings, with the new devices being available to ship in 1-3 business days.

Great iPad Apps For Blogging In 2014

Apple first launched the iPad, people have been increasingly drawn towards mobile solutions to their daily-life routines. And being the geekier of the lot, Bloggers too have found gadgets that help them be more productive. Apple announced the launch of a new iPads yesterday, and we figured people would be flocking towards these Apple devices right now.

1:Blogsy

An app designed purely for the iPad, and your one-stop-shop for all your blogging needs. It allows full access to a wide variety of blogging platforms such as WordPress, Tumblr, Blogger, Squarespace, and more. You can also manage your Flickr, YouTube, Vimeo, Instagram, and Facebook accounts right from the main page. Use the drag-and-drop feature to add photos and videos from your social networking sites into your blog posts. Create links from websites with one touch. Use gestures for such adjustments as bold print and text alignment. Create and edit posts and schedule them for publication while on the go.

An absolute must application for blogging enthusiasts.

2:Squarespace

Squarespace is a lesser-known, but incredibly beautiful web-building platform that allows users to craft elegant websites. This official app gives you complete access to editing and managing your Squarespace content from multiple accounts. You can create and edit posts using the company’s Layout Engine, add photos, format text, and create links while on the go. Keep track of comments and reply to readers with little effort. You can even mark a comment as spam “with a flick of your finger.” Instead of logging in and out of different pages, this app allows you to toggle between websites seamlessly.

3:Day One

If you're all for a comfortable writing experience, then this is the app for you. Day One is an awesome journalism app that gives you a nice writing experience with lots of customization features such as writing reminders, social media integration, etc.

4:Posts

Whether you use Blogger or WordPress, or even both, this iPad app helps you create and publish great content from anywhere. If you manage multiple blogs, you’ll have easy access to all of them and be able to check on everything at a glance. Browse your content by date by checking the built-in calendar. Create, edit, and publish content, including image layout and video uploads. Receive notifications when someone comments and then edit and respond from within the app. Work offline, including creating and editing new and previously published posts. All work will be saved in the “outbox” and published when you are back online.

5:OneNote

Microsoft's OneNote is so much better than many other note-taking applications. Sure, it might not be as rich as Evernote, but even so I always prefer OneNote. For one, it has simpler and better note management, and you can organize better hierarchies (notes within sections within notebooks etc.). And for another, you can access OneNote so easily. It comes bundled with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel etc. 2013). You can access your notes from a web browser too, not to mention the cross-platform app that's available for iOS, Android and Windows platforms.

6:iP [Blogging apps for iPad]

This is the first app every WordPress blogger would like to have on his or her iPad. This is an official free app from the WordPress team, and it lets you do tons of things, and works great for blogging directly from your iPad.  I mostly use it to reply to comments, check stats and to do a quick edit of a post.  Particularly if you running a personal blog, the WordPress app on iPad will make your blogging life easier.

7:StumbleUpon

StumbleUpon is one of the top social bookmarking sites used to find interesting and popular news based on your topics of interest. If you are in the mood to learn new things, the StumbleUpon app on your iPad will be very handy. Their latest version of the app added many new features which just may make you fall in love with StumbleUpon again.

8:EverNote And DropBox

These two apps need no introduction. One of the greatest advantages of Dropbox and Evernote is that they are available across platforms.  Making this app available on iPad, they quickly slid into the list of must-have apps.
I have Evernote and Dropbox installed on my laptop and on my iPhone and iPad, helping me to keep everything in sync. These are two of my most used apps.

9:TechSmith Fuse

SnagIt and Camtasia are two of my favorite desktop tools for image and video capturing respectively. Both of these pieces of software come from TechSmith, and I have been using them  for almost three years now.
Fuse is an iOS app (iPhone & iPad) which will let you transfer photos from your iPad to SnagIt, and from there you can edit it on your desktop. Fuse is a free app, and you should use it with SnagIt.

10:Flipboard for iPad

When it comes to reading apps, Flipboard and Zite are my favorite feed readers for iPad.It really is a perfect app if you are planning to use your iPad to keep track of the latest news.
You can integrate Flipboard with your Twitter, Facebook, Google Reader and custom searches. The magazine-style look makes your reading experience comfortable.

This was my collection of the must have blogging apps for your iPad. What blogging apps do you like? Leave your responses in the comments section below.

Nike CEO talks Apple Watch and Apple partnership, says new experiences coming

Nike CEO and President Mark Parkersat down with CNBC’s “Squawk on the Street” for a quick interview discussing his thoughts on wearable technology, the Apple Watch and his company’s partnership with the iPhone maker, confirming that new services are coming down the pipeline.
Nike, which in April 2014 announcedshuttering its wearable-hardware efforts, has been collaborating with Apple on fitness wearables for years, in one form or another.
For example, the Nike+ Running iOS application is available on the Apple Watch, too, and Parker now assures us that more from Apple and Nike is yet to come.
Although Nike is no longer involved in the creation of wearable hardware, it continues to build digital connections with consumers with services and mobile apps. More than sixty million people actively use its various digital fitness apps and services.
“We are continuing to develop apps and experiences so we are working with Apple and other partners as well,” he said. Just to be clear, Parker said they are “excited about the potential that the Apple-Nike relationship has” and has specifically stated that the partnership “continues”.

The love affair between Apple and Nike can be traced back to the early days of the iPod, when the two companies co-developed and sold a tiny step-tracking chip for Nike shoes which talked wirelessly to the music player.
Nike was also a key launch partner for Apple’s Health platform, releasing the Move app that took advantage of the M7 motion coprocessor which debuted inside the iPhone 5s.
Having recently consolidated its iOS portfolio, Nike’s iOS apps now offer Health integration while iOS 8’s Health app, which even directly supports Nike Fuel points in its dashboard.

QuartzSettings lets you customize the Settings app in iOS 8

One of the main reasons to jailbreak your iOS device is to customize it the way you want. QuartzSettings is a new jailbreak tweakthat allows you to customize the look of the Settings app.
The tweak automatically customizes the appearance of the Settings app based on your Home screen wallpaper. It also provides three different themes which you can choose from to change the look of Settings interface.
Once you install QuartzSettings, you can get started by heading to the tweak’s preferences pane in Settings. There, you will find three options labeled Enable, Themes and Preview.
The Enable option allows you to toggle on or off the tweak and remove any customizations made to Settings. The Preview button provides a preview of how the three different themes look like.

The last option is Themes where you will find all the built-in themes that come with the tweak. After opening it, you will find the three themes labeled Black Panther, Panda and SkyView. Below each of them, an Enable and a Preview button is available.
To apply any one of the themes, simply press the Enable button. No respring is required to apply the theme. All you have to do is to close Settings from the App Switcher and launch it again to view the new look of Settings
If you disable all the themes, the default Quartz theme will be used which customizes the Settings interface based on the Home screen background
What’s more interesting is that the tweak also supports custom themes allowing designers to create new themes for QuartzSettings and provide them as a separate package to be installed from Cydia.
QuartzSettings is definitely worth the try if you’re fond of customizing your iOS device. If you’re in to give it a try, the tweak can be download for free via Cydia’s BigBoss repo.
Once QuartzSettings is installed, venture over to the stock Settings app to configure the tweak’s preferences. There, you’ll find three buttons—Enable, Themes, and Preview.
The Enable button is basically a kill-switch, in that you can use it to toggle the tweak on or off. The Themes button opens up the theme section, and the Preview button lets you preview various theme configurations.
Inside of the Theme section, you’ll find three themes: Black Panther, Panda, and SkyView. Each theme features its own unique color scheme for the Settings app, and can be enabled or previewed using the buttons beneath each theme name.
If you have QuartzSettings enabled, but all of the themes disabled, you’ll still be able to benefit from the wallpaper tint features built into the tweak. This option allows you to use the colors from your iPhone’s wallpaper to tint the Settings app in unique ways that differ from the built in themes.
QuartzSettings is compatible with custom themes, so eventually theme designers will submit their own themes to Cydia for separate download. This could allow themers to create a theme that goes along with the rest of the custom interface throughout the iPhone’s UI.

How To Filter Text Messages From Unknown Contacts In iOS

Not many iPhone and iPad users are aware that the iOS 8 Messages app houses a new filter for unknown contacts. This will move all inbound iMessages from such numbers to a separate inbox, and also keep a lid on the notifications from these unknown senders iMessages. Here’s what you need to know for enabling this feature on your iPhone or iPad right now.
Filtering out messages from unknown contacts can save you a lot of pain if your number is listed on public domains, or if you get loads of messages on different offers from unknown sources. Once you’re done setting this up, your Messages inbox will show you iMessages from recognized contacts in a separate inbox, with messages from unknown numbers placed in another.
Step 1: Begin by launching the Settings app on your phone and tapping the “Messages” option.
Step 2: Here you need to locate the “Filter Unknown Senders”. Scroll below to find it, and once you do, simply enable the feature by hitting the toggle button next to it. The feature’s description is detailed under the option.
Step 3: Now head back to the Messages app, where you should find two inboxes, namely:Contact & SMS, and Unknown Senders. As mentioned earlier, messages coming in will be sorted automatically, all you need to do is tap on either of the two tabs to move through the inboxes.
You may have noticed that the description being offered under the filtering option mentions that the setting works for iMessages, so do not confuse it with the inbox labels. SMS, from known and unknown contacts, will be shown as normal in the Contacts & SMS inbox, while iMessages from unknown numbers will be moved to Unknown Senders.

Now the question is: will your messages be deleted once you disable the filter? Well, no. Once the filter is toggled off, all sorted text messages from the two separate inboxes will be merged back into one universal inbox. Since this is a new feature available in iOS 8.3 and over, if you’re running anything lower than iOS 8.3, you will have to update your iPhone or iPad to access this feature, since older versions of Apple’s mobile OS offer no such support.

If you’re new to jailbreaking, and have just jailbroken your iOS device using the Pangu jailbreak then it may be a good idea to change the default root password to prevent someone with malicious intent from gaining access to your device.

How to change the root password on your jailbroken iPhone or iPad in iOS 8

If you’ve jailbroken your iPhone or iPad then it is recommended to change the default root password to prevent someone with malicious intent from gaining access to your device.
By default, every iPhone or iPad’s root password is ‘alpine’ and if you want to keep your device more secure, it is essential that the first thing you do after jailbreaking your device is to change your root password to something unique.
If you’re a long time jailbreak user, you will remember a terminal package known as MobileTerminal which allows you to execute commands on your jailbroken iPhone or iPad. Unfortunately, the package hasn’t been updated to support iOS 8 yet.
However, there is another free alternative to MobileTerminal known as MTerminal by developer lordscotland which is a stripped-down, lightweight MobileTerminal that comes with iOS 8 support and supports gestures to make your life easier.
The gesture actions include arrow and control keys, insert/delete, Esc/Tab, fullscreen mode, paste and more.

How to change the root password:

Step 1: Install Mobile Terminal
  • Launch Cydia
  • Tap on the Search tab
  • Search for MTerminal
  • Tap on MTerminal from the search results
  • Tap on Install, followed by Confirm to install MTerminal on your device.

Change root password

  • Launch the MTerminal app from the Home screen.
  • Type su root at the prompt and tap on the return key.
  • You will be prompted to enter the password, enter alpine and tap the return key.
  • Type passwd
  • You will be prompted to enter the new password, enter a new password and tap the return key.
  • You will be prompted to re-enter the new password, enter the new password again and tap the return key. (Note that your keypresses will not be displayed on the terminal screen for security reasons)

Change mobile user password

You should also change the password of the mobile user, which is the regular user account on your device.
  • Enter passwd mobile and tap on the return key.
  • You will be prompted to enter the new password. Enter alpine, and tap on the return key to continue.
  • You will be prompted to re-enter the new password, enter alpine again and tap the return key.
Once done, your old root and mobile user passwords should now be changed to the new password you just set.
You can also change the password via OpenSSH, but I prefer this method as you don’t need a computer.
MTerminal is a great way of executing commands on your jailbroken iOS 8 device. If you’d like to give it a try, it is available for free on Cydia’s BigBoss repo. Let us know what you think about the package in the comments section below.

Apple Pay Is Making Its Way To A Major Casino In Las Vegas

Apple’s plan for payment domination within the United States using its own Apple Pay system has received a significant boost after it was confirmed that Tim Cook’s company has struck a deal to integrate the payment system into The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. The 5-star Cosmopolitan, located in the heart of Las Vegas Boulevard, has confirmed via an official statement that that it will indeed be adopting Apple Pay on its premises in an effort to not only lead the way in adopting new technologies but to also make payments faster and easier for guests and residents of the resort.
It’s as yet unclear if The Cosmopolitan, or any other hotel and casino that adopts the payment method, will allow guests to gamble directly using Apple Pay. After all, having a payment method that offers such fast and efficient transactions probably does push the boundaries of“responsible gambling.” We may see that coming in the future, but for now The Cosmopolitan has confirmed that Apple Pay will be accepted at the hotel’s front desk area, throughout any gift or souvenir shops and at internal bars and restaurants in exchange for food and drink. Guests will also be able to utilize Apple Pay to pay for room service, all of which is expected to be in place for the beginning of June.

Cutting this deal with a prominent player on the Las Vegas strip can only be positive for Apple as it pushes to make Apple Pay one of the most widely adopted payment methods within the United States. The initial marketing push has brought fantastic yields with more than 200 banks and credit unions now accepting Apple Pay resulting in literally thousands of merchants and retail outlets across the country being able to offer quick and seamless transaction via the new payment protocol.

By early June, the resort’s front desk, concierge, restaurants and bars will accept the new payment method, according to a Tuesday announcement.

“As always, we are thrilled to lead the market with a new component to a Las Vegas experience that makes everything a bit faster and a great deal easier,” Lisa Marchese, chief marketing officer of the property, said in a statement.
Using the “contactless payment technology,” customers can make purchases with an iPhone, Apple Watch or iPad, according to Apple’s website.
Note:  Existing forms of payment will not be affected.
